We own and operate a fleet of over 150 trucks and 75 trailers, operating across several sites in the UK
Established over 40 years ago, the business originally specialised in European transport to and from Italy, Germany, France and the Benelux region. While we continue to operate in Europe, our focus has evolved towards the UK market, where we specialise in long-term contractual haulage solutions.
The business is headed by Managing Director Richard Horsfall, the company’s founder, alongside Director Alex Horsfall, who has played a key role in driving the company’s growth and development over the past decade. The finance department is led by Jessica Horsfall, who has been with the business for over five years and now serves as Financial Director making Unitruc a proud family operated, privately owned business.
We work closely with customer management teams to ensure we respond proactively to operational changes and fluctuating demand. Over the years, we have supported customers in scaling from a single vehicle to dozens — a testament to our long-term, partnership-driven approach.
For over four decades, we have built a service designed to help customers grow their distribution operations without the burden of additional capital investment, compliance responsibility or administrative overhead.

We manage all vehicle and driver-related responsibilities through our experienced operations team, available Monday to Friday, 7am–6pm, with 24/7 out-of-hours support
Our transport function is overseen by seven full-time CPC-qualified Transport Managers, supported by compliance, planning and Health & Safety personnel. The team handles:

Customer-specific operational procedures
Alongside our operations department, our accounts and administrative teams ensure weekly invoicing is processed accurately and efficiently. We operate an electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD) system to streamline documentation and data capture, and we are fully experienced in integrating with customer-specific ePOD platforms.
Our core model is based on 12- or 24-month rolling contracts with fixed rates, allocating dedicated vehicles and permanent drivers to each customer. You retain day-to-day control of workload distribution, while we provide the infrastructure, management and operational support behind the scenes.
